How To Move From Energetic Overload to Intuitive Thrive

VIBRANT HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK~ How to Respond to Energetic Overload.

Greetings all! These are potent times for sure. The super full moon's energy is still with us and in the coming weeks, on many levels we are being invited to feel and clear old patterns of conditioned behaviors, emotions, memories and energies that are no longer supporting our highest expression of who we authentically are. When we sense we are feeling overloaded and over tired, its a clear message to clear some space within our bodies, minds and spirits for essential , nourishing energy to come in.

If you have been feeling pulled in multiple directions at once or feel your mental body is jammed packed with an explosion of information from a multitude of sources or you feel your emotions are bubbling up in your waking hours and through active dream cycles...well welcome to the evolutionary birthing of the TRUE YOU, 2.0 !

Whether we are attuned to the larger energetic shifts occurring right now on our planet or not, we are all affected and the guidance I can offer is to take practical steps to SOOTHE your nervous system daily,in the next few weeks.
  •  SLOW your pace down.
  •  BREATHE DEEPLY and EXHALE COMPLETELY
  •  REST MORE,
  •  EAT SUPER NOURISHING, HOMEMADE MEALS of Whole, Organic Foods
  •  HYDRATE WELL
  •  EXERCISE & MOVE YOUR ENERGY PHYSICALLY
  • Take a YOGA class to reconnect to your SACRED BODY TEMPLE
  •  MEDITATE DAILY TO CLEAR MENTAL EXCESS AND CONNECT TO YOUR SOURCE ENERGY OF TRUTH AND AUTHENTICITY
  • and most importantly be willing to ALLOW YOURSELF TO RECEIVE SUPPORT
The time of operating like a 'lone wolf', doing it all on your own to the point of feeling isolated , exhausted  and resentful  is coming to an end. This old pattern of  an uber ,faux ,independance is unsustainable on all levels, personal and global. Our ancestral tribes did not survive by being alone.  We are all inter-dependant with each other and everything is connected.
The time of co-creative collaborating with your Intuitive wisdom and SOURCE as well as opening to relationships with LIKE- SOULED FRIENDS is emerging. The time of division and separation within oneself and projecting those fragmented aspects out onto others is also being pushed to release and integrate all of who we are, shadow and light together.

The POWER KEY WORDS FOR THIS TIME ARE: Feel, Real, Heal, Authenticity, Allow, Awareness,Receive, Love, Connect, Community, Compassion, Forgiveness, Spirit, Trust and BE!
ASK YOURSELF : What's one habit I can release that no longer serves me? Clear it, be it a memory, an emotion, a cluttered mind or closet.  Make a commitment to your higher Self to make space for that essential core of who you really are to be expressed. The more we courageously release old conditioning, the more we birth ourselves into the truth of our being and connect to the divine purpose of why we are here in the first place.
Blessings for a self soothing day of clearing & making space for your divine self to shine through! Namaste
PLEASE  SHARE with your community and invite the shift to expand.

Feeling JOY

VIBRANT HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK~ Feeling Joy!

Namaste All. It's been a few weeks since I have posted. I gave myself some time to just be present to my life as it was unfolding day to day in the waning weeks of summer and in that time period, the message of JOY kept appearing. I saw it in teachings, books, quotes, and meditations and heard it directly from teachers and healers. I've learned that when a focus appears in your awareness multiple times in multiple ways, its best to take notice! The universe is communicating with you on something that has significance for your evolving soul. JOY.

Can you name 3 things that give you JOY? And when was the last time you experienced any of these things? Is your day to day life deprived of JOY? If so, you are disconnected from the wisdom of your Spirit and suffering from living soley from the realm of ego which can leave us overtime feeling isolated, stressed and joyless.

JOY is the highest expression of your Spirit. within the vibration scale of energy, JOY even resonates at a frequency higher than the heart! JOY is a form of deep self care and deep self love. When you feel JOY, you bring vitality to your emotional body and your emotional body responds with feelings of optimism, well being and vibrancy.

I feel most JOYFUL when I practice YOGA. It's my passion to practice , evolve my consciousness and share my experiences with others that feel called to awaken their intuitive spirit and live in alignment with their higher Self. My daily YOGA is my path to tapping into Spirit and JOY is the expression of that spirit. My dharma is to bring that level of opportunity for others to connect or reconnect to their essential source of Being, their JOY. Being in alignment with your truth ,your dharma, what you were born to do is the ultimate JOY.

Look around, we are surrounded by joyless faces at times, joyless news of the globe, joyless perspectives on life. These are telltale signs of a serious breach from your Spirit which is aligned with what is most true and meaningful for your individual soul. Negativity is not the practice of your Spirit. Negativity is the realm of the ego and a projects a belief of separation. Truth is the expression of your Spirit and JOY is a reflection of your conscious connection to your Spirit.

So I suggest, if you have been feeling on the joyless side of experiences, give yourself a SOUL SUPPLEMENT and connect this week daily with something that gives you JOY! This will serve to lighten your heart, connect to your intuitive Spirit and nurture the path of living in the flow of life which at its source is benevolent and good. The quickest way to connect to JOY is to SMILE.

SO... what brings you JOY? I would love to hear from you. Post your comments below and lets inspire each other to tap into the healing energy of JOY each day!
Its a JOY to speak with you! Namaste and Blessings for a JOYFUL week.

When Tragedy & Sorrow Strike

VIBRANT HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK~ When Sorrow Strikes Be Willing to Stay Present and Feel

Namaste All~ In the wake of the tragic news of Robin William's death by suicide, the outpouring of sentiments , sorrows, questions and yes some judgements by those that do not understand the devastating nature of depression , have been aired.

My sense observing this, watching clips of his work from stand up , to films to his charity work has been to reflect on the pain of a bright light lost by his own hand and yet I am acutely aware of the darkness that must have consumed him in those final weeks or days that led to his action.

I find myself going back and forth from celebrating the body of his creative genius then to the dark sorrow he harbored in his mind and heart. This is not easy but to be conscious is to feel and be present. Resist the cultures knee jerk reflex to tie a human tragedy up into a neat package with a bow and move on. The deepest way we may be able to honor the gifts Mr. Williams shared in his life is to also not turn away from the suffering he carried . To see that he was experiencing what millions of people struggle with daily. The numbers are staggering, suicide # 6 overall cause of death, # 3 among young people in their twenties and currently epidemic with VETS, often associated with deep depression and substance abuse and addictions and PREVENTABLE. It takes a willingness of friends, loved ones, family, community and a nation to step up and look at the reality of how mental illness and depression and drug addiction affects us all.

Yes, lets remember his brilliance, his art, his over the top capacity to give and bring humor into the world and lets also remember his pain and his suffering and his experience of separation , darkness and deep aloneness as a call to action for each of us to be available to anyone in your life that is showing signs of depression, drug abuse, addiction or suicidal ideation.

Ask the hard question;" I love you, and am concerned, are you thinking of killing yourself?" You might just save a life! Sending prayers of love and support to his family and children who are bearing the deepest pain right now.
Namaste and Blessings to All

Simplify to Amplify Your Senses

VIBRANT HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK~ SIMPLIFY

Here we are in early days of August and for New Englanders a pang of sadness may creep in knowing how quick our summer weather will leave and the busy shift of back to school, work and life takes hold in a few weeks. My advice is take these days and simplify as much as possible. Keep your' to do' list minimal and allow the day to unfold in its own wise creative way. Be open to something spontaneous unfolding and say YES!

With all the bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables available now, simplify meals, eat outside, enjoy these precious days of longer light as they too will begin to diminish. Life is a play of comings and goings , beginnings and endings, ebbs and flows. The only way we can have a hope of being present to the richness right in front of our eyes is to slow down and simplify.

Less is really more when it comes to tuning into the sensory symphony that calls us each day. See as if the universe is looking through your eyes! Feel as if the universe is feeling through your heart. Listen, touch, smell and taste with all the focus you can muster! Being truly present is a powerful step on the path of conscious awakening and living as a vibrant conscious being.
Blessings for a simplified and sensory glorious summer week!

Breathe Deeply!

VIBRANT HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK~ EXHALE!

It's become rather clear to me that a vast majority of our tendencies to ramp up into stress mode stems from the habit of not exhaling deeply. Shallow breathing in general is a sure sign your nervous system is set in stress mode and holding the breath is another sign that your central nervous system is locked in flight ,fight or freeze mode. This pattern over time creates havoc in our physical bodies, in our minds and emotions creating such strain that just navigating the normal decisions one has to make daily can feel overwhelming.

The first step is to notice your breath. Breathe in for 4 counts deep into your belly then exhale for 8. When we double the exhale we short circuit further activating the stress response and turn on the relaxation response. If you are feeling super anxious and distracted, inhale for 4, hold for 7 and exhale for 8. This breath pattern is known for having the capacity to stop an anxiety attack in its tracks!

So breathe deep, and exhale even deeper on a regular basis to reclaim your center. As a yoga and meditation teacher I witness first hand in myself and my students how insidious stress levels can ramp up and yet the remedy is right beneath our nose. Stop for a moment right now and take a deep belly breath and exhale slowly. As you exhale, visualize you are releasing the excess energy that is creating pressure inside. Like a balloon that is inflated too full and ready to burst. We do not realize what we are holding until we actually start to put it down.

Holding the breath can be an unconscious act of holding onto emotions that need to be expressed. Holding onto anger , resentments or fears that need a voice. Holding on to pain that is asking for a path of release. Holding on to our past which is truly over. When we are stuck in a pattern of holding on, we are not available and present to life unfolding right in front of our eyes. Our awareness is hijacked into worry, pain , anger or fear which has a powerful effect of disconnecting us from our deeper wisdom and truth. It is true that stress kills. It can create such a corrosive imbalance in our bodies and in our minds resulting in illness as well as creating the effect of feeling cut off from out spirit. The aspect of our Being that is fundamental to us living with authenticity and presence.

We can survive for weeks without food, days without water but only minutes without breath. There is a yogic saying, when you breathe deep you live deep!

Make a loving commitment today to notice your breathing and deepen the inhale and extend the exhale as long as you can. Welcome peace to be reflected in breath!

The Transformational Turning Point~Committing to a Home Yoga Practice

Namaste All~ We all know the benefits we hear about practicing yoga, mindfulness, meditation and yet what is the # 1 reason people fail to commit to a daily practice to reap those benefits?

As a yogini and teacher , I have asked myself that question often as its one of my central intentions to inspire students to practice daily to really tap into the transformative power of yoga. Here is what I know. Until the power of your intention to practice is stronger than your resistance to practice, nothing will change. Thats the bottom line. Resistance is a form of fear. It can be subtle and so slick that we can easily dismiss it with excuses like I don't have time, I am too tired when I come home from work, etc. If we take a courageous moment to just tap into the feeling of resistance and ask ourselves truly 'What am I afraid of here, we will begin to get clear on our real intentions.

Do we really want to be mindful? What does that really require of me? Do I really want to take a deeper responsibility for my health and wellness? What does that require of me? Do I really want to align with my deeper consciousness and wake up from the mass illusion of stress and feeling separate? What does that require of me? It requires you take a very strong intention to begin to honor your wholeness. The integrated aspect of your Being which is essentially illuminated love. Pretty lofty I know but nevertheless rolling out your yoga mat daily with a loving commitment to spend time with your deeper self is the most liberating healing practice I know of.

Ask yourself, are you just here in life to be a passenger and observer of what happens in your life or are you here to be a loving, co-creative,dynamic , intentional Being who chooses to LIVE ON PURPOSE? If getting a daily practice established was so easy, well I would not be posting this. It is not easy, It may be the most difficult shift you initially are called to make but the payoff is nothing less than transformational.

If you are feeling life is coming at your rather than through you , its time to commit to your home practice and shift that experience from victim of circumstances to creator of experiences. The only way through is within. Become a pilgrim within your own inner domain of experience. We contain all the energy on a cellular level of the universe! If that isn't appealing enough to turn the TV off and take a galaxy ride inside daily, well, my friend, the choice is yours:) I sincerely hope you love yourself enough to honor yourself daily with stillness, meditation and yoga to liberate you from what limits you being fully who you are meant to be in this world! Its time, roll that mat out and take your seat! Let the journey begin!

If you struggle with getting a practice going, join me in a yoga class and lets have a heart to heart chat on how you can make this amazing shift for yourself.

TAP INTO YOUR TRUE INDEPENDENCE AND SPARK YOUR INNER LIGHT

Namaste All. As we approach this US holiday celebration of the birth of our nation, let us pause to take some inner reflection on what truly expresses our authentic, independent spiritual nature. This new moon cycle we are currently in for another week is nudging us to clear old identifications from our consciousness. To release the concepts of who we' think' we are through forms of ego and personality and open to the vulnerable yet true and clear expression of our spiritual energetic beings.

The path to pruning the old identities is letting go of old patterns of thinking that no longer serve us. The judgements, self criticisms, the impatience, fear and anger that block the deeper expressions we may be keeping in the shadows. This inner work is necessary if we ever hope to attract and engage in authentic loving relationships with ourselves and  with others. As we heal and grow our inner independent self, we naturally align with others that are doing the same. The result is we come together as a sum greater than our individual parts. We all expand and benefit.

So take some time in the next week to examine what old pattern of thinking, habit of mind or emotion are you willing to release as a portal to opening to a deeper , more authentic, independent expression of your unique self? Notice in what situations you feel the most relaxed and open in. Notice the aspects of how you feel when in a relaxed open state. Notice who you feel the most relaxed and open around. Notice what situations, thoughts or patterns of emotional programming create separation or constriction from your natural, relaxed state of being. Get ready to prune back the constricting patterns.

It does take courage to step into this work but the consequence of not taking those steps is living by someone elses expectations, someone or something else from the external is defining who and what you are. This is not a recipe for happiness but one of suffering. Breathe deep, allow all feelings to be felt and guide you to taking steps to live more alive and aligned with your deepest aspect of who you really are. We are all hear to realize and live from our deepest Dharma.Only you can bring that forward.

Blessings for a week of truth, clarity and authenticity! Namaste
